CCC=China Compulsory Certification
|What are CCC Standards?
■Outline
Upon joining the World Trade Organization (WTO), China revised its previous certification system and the China Compulsory Certification (CCC) system was announced by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) and the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA).
Integrating the prior dual certificate systems, the system was established according to international norms.
Since August 1, 2003, products not certified under the new system have been banned from importation or sale in China.
Applicable standards are the GB standards, meaning Chinese “National Standards” (electricity-related standards are issued based on International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards).
Relevant products must bear the CCC mark.

The mark is required only when a product is imported to or sold in China as a separate item
